Ah, AP English Lit, how I fondly remember you crushing any enjoyment I could possibly have in anything labelled 'classic literature'. The month spent dissecting To Kill a Mockingbird line by line will forever be remebered by me as 'To Kill To Kill a Mockingbird'. The Great Gatsby was but a passing, foregettable blip compared to that wonderous month.
If you thought Gatsby was hard to get through without being diagnosed narcoleptic, try reading Bless Me, Ultima. I read War and Peace over a summer and enjoyed it far, far more than any book whose meanings were forced upon me in an 'educational' manner.
