Well, in Rural Vermont our internet company is slowely going out of buisness, right when they set up DSL.

Sadly they aren't selling it, because they are going out of buisness.

They are supposed to be bought out by Verizon, who I am hoping will finally provide us with the long awaited DSL.

yes most countries are horribly lagging behind asia in the internet speed. you should see how bad it is for american service, tho Canada isn't that great but it's mostly only the rural areas that have no broadband. in the states there's tons of places that don't have it and won't cause "it's too expensive"

the biggest issue in NA is the copper infrastructure was never updated over the years and now it's outdated and they have to fix it and claim fibre optic is "too expensive"

Even on the 50MB fibre line assuming you have it prepare to get throttled from 6pm to 12pm to about 2MB to 8MB since Virgin make money selling massive speeds you only get at 5am to 8am.
Virgin don't throttle 50mb users, and only the 5% most bandwidth hungry users on lower packages :)

Which is why I torrent at night after 10 and daytime between 9am and 3pm
