We all follow some series or other. Some of us like watching The Simpsons, some like reading Bleach, some enjoy the Discworld series, and some like all these things. Now, the thing is that not all series are consistently good. Even the most dedicated of Simpsons-fans have to admit that, had season one never existed, it wouldn't have been much of a loss. And while there are episodes of Dexter's laboratory that I really like, there's at least one that I hate. (It's the one about the two robots getting out of the laboratory. Borrrrring!) And even if you like The Light Fantastic more than I do, you don't think it's the funniest book in the series. (You just don't.) But some series start out really interesting and keep it that way. So tell me, friend: What series of books, movies, comics, anime, manga, video game, TV show, whatever, that you enjoy has had the highest average episode quality?

I think that the Total War series is the highest quality gaming series out in today's market. Each game has been an improvement on the last.
For books, i have to say that the Night Angel Trilogy captivated me with each turning page..

The Wire. OH GOD The Wire. Every single episode captivated me like nothing I've ever seen before.

I think if they turned it into a TV series it would work, it would be hard to add more to the end of the story line, as most of the characters *spoiler* snuff it
