Highly Rated Games

So PSN being down has really given me time to sit down and play the games I never really finished like Assassin's Creed 2 and the God of War Collection and while playing a particularly boring part of the game I started to realize that I am not really interested in most main stream games such as Assassins Creed 1 and 2 and Killzone 2. So I guess I was just wondering what main stream games are you not really interested in?
(Just to elaborate I like alot of Main stream games like Bioshock and Fallout and Portal)

I can't play them at all.

I also don't play %99 of mainstream games, because I have no current-gen console, or a good enough computer.
But I have no interest in most, because they just don't impress me. Most of them also bore me, because they're all so similar! Battlefield 3, however, is quite impressive, I have to say.

The Assassin's Creed series for one. I just found 2 to be so aggravating. Also it seems that nothing released this year has held much interest at all.

I have never been into Halo at all, any of them. I also didn't care too much for Assassin's Creed.

I've lost interest in Assassin's Creed. I really like the first game, it blew my mind. Assassin's Creed 2 just didn't do it for me, though.

The original Ghost Recon by Red Storm Entertainment was a great game and not mainstream like UBi's bullshit ass sequels.

No, that's the one I'm talking about. I have absolutely nothing against Red Storm, I mean, I love Rainbow Six 3, but I am just incapable of playing Ghost Recon. The controls hate me. Also, Ubisoft published the original as well.

BF3 is going to be a shadow of its former BF2 self. It is BFBC2 reskined with new models and additional gametypes. COD lost all originality when they left the WWII theme... sorry any FPS that will come out in the next 2 years i think i will ignore because innovation has been forgotten, and its all multiplayer only now.

Nowadays, any game that's too similar to another game (or combination of games) I've already beaten, I will lose interest in.
Lords of Shadow, Okami, etc, most sequels to big name games generally don't get past a few hours with me.

Which is odd, I used to be able to plow through Final Fantasies/Disgaeas/Super Smash Bros/infinitely more spending 100+ hours on each installment.

I really dislike Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Bioshock, even though they all theoretically tick all the boxes of a good game in my eyes.

Not too much I play IS mainstream. I can't stand GTA, CoD, Gears of whateva', Sports games, Halo, Left 4 Dead, Pokemon, Killzone, Bulletstorm, Duke Nukem. Come to think of it there is little that is mainstream that I enjoy.

I can't stand any FPS (and I include the Metroid Primes in that), so there goes 90% of the top mainstream games and Valve titles. I also hate fighting games. I used to like them when they were one on one, but I hate the whole pick a team and fight with them thing.

Then again my favorite titles of this generation are Uncharted 1&2, Deadly Premonition and 3D Dot Game Heroes.

I've played a fair few mainstream games, and while most were bearable (as well a few that were awful) i mostly play indies now, just because you definitely get much more enjoyment on a dollar-to-dollar basis.

OT: COD, Fable, Gears of War, Starcraft and many more have never been able to draw my praise or recommendation.

I don't care about Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, or anything RTS.
