I got hitman absolution about a week ago, and as much I like the game, it infuriates me a lot.

Sometimes I just feel like I'm replaying the same sections over and over, hoping to get lucky, or endlessly following targets hoping for pretty much the same. I feel like I spend most of the game worrying about whether I have enough instinct to con my way past quards wearing the same disguise, whilst I can't seem to find any disguises that have clearance and won't be blown in no time by a lack of instinct.

Then there's the times where I can't seem to get a target away from any witnesses for long enough. Contracts mode is a nightmare for this. I swear, I hate it when people set targets that never seem to move away from witnesses. It annoys me to no end when I get into a place where I can't be seen and try to use silenced weapons to take them out from there, but get instantly spotted anyway. Yet, clearly someone managed it, so where the hell am I going wrong?

Basically, I suck at absolution, and I could use some tips. Maybe I'm simply overthinking things with the disguises and just need to default to sneaking around, not that that's always any easier.

You might get more replies if you post this on the Gaming Discussion sub-forum. It's not technically in breach here, so I won't move it if you don't want me to.

Ah, I thought that posting this in gaming discussion would be in breach seeming as nobody else seems to have a particular interest in this advice. Move it if possible, thanks.

Many areas have one especially useful disguise, like the chef in the tutorial level.

The best general tip I can give is that throwing objects to make distractions is overpowered. See, while any enemies that hear the noise will look in that direction, only one enemy at a time will actually come over to investigate. If you're the patient sort you can clear out crowds of enemies by throwing the same wrench over and over again and picking them off one by one as they come to see what that incessant clanging sound is.

yeah throwing is pretty overpowered as is chucking shit at peoples heads. combine them both for basically auto win gaming

best tip i can give is start each level with a suicide run
guards take forever to notice you tresspassing and even longer to start shooting at you. by the time you have 50 guards following you trying to take you down you should have a good idea of where the important grates, hiding places and disguises are and should be able to make a decent stealthy run from there

also radios are friggn awesome
drop a radio on the ground somewhere and switch it on and guards will flock to it wondering what the hell is going on leaving you time to sneak into whatever spot they were guarding
