HL3 at VGA 2011?

After the news about the HL3 T-shirt went out, I went to search for possible HL3 news, and this is what I got:

There is no longer an episode 3. Valve announced a long time ago that the episodic model has been completely replaced by "games as a service." Whatever the next Half-Life is, it won't be a rinky-dink little episode.

CS:GO, and that's almost done as well. It is extremely likely that some kind of Half-Life product is in deep development, but who knows when we'll see it.

CS:GO, and that's almost done as well. It is extremely likely that some kind of Half-Life product is in deep development, but who knows when we'll see it.

No-one had any idea that HL2 was coming when it got announced, came completely out of the blue if I remember correctly.

2012 will mark Episode 2 being 5 years old though, the Source engine is also showing it's age now, I think it's high time Valve brought out a new engine and the continuation of the Half Life storyline with it.

Maybe Episode 3 as a teaser before HL3, and a last send off for the Source engine? With the best ever graphics for it...followed by the new engine and new game. I hope. I wish.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Still though, their company is comprised of around 250 people. So, when I tell you that Portal 2 was made by only 28 of them, simple math would indicate that there are quite a few designers left to work on...something.

And, somehow, methinks it doesn't take more than 200 people to develop CS:GO. Just sayin'.
