i've been thinking what would you be willing to do to get out of a situation?

personally i wouldn't stop at nothing to get out of a shite situation like someone wants your help

I guess it depends on what you mean by "shite situation". Bad living conditions? Or lethal threat? Imprisonment? What?!

what i mean is if there is a situation for instance someone at work asks you to do a shit job how would you get out of it

So your question is basically "if you have to do something which won't bring you immediate personal gratification, how far would you go to avoid it"? If I completely misunderstood, then it's a good idea to make your threads less vague.

And no, I don't think "not stopping at anything" is a solution here. Life's not all about self-satisfaction, you know. Besides, the example you gave - being asked to do something at work - isn't really a "shite situation" by most people's standards. You don't get paid for sitting on your ass and counting flies on the ceiling for 8 hours.

Well, I'd try to get out of it with lame excuses ("sorry, no time, I gotta finish some other work first") or something.
If they insist, I'd probably give in, though.
