Does your family have any special recipes exclusive to December? I have this kind of cookie that involves rum extract and powdered nutmeg called a nutmeg log. Make all the jokes you want, they are really good.

my family has several recipes, however most don't pertain to the holidays(I'm Italian, its mostly pasta). What I do have are peanut butter balls, I'm not sure of the exact recipe but involves mixing rice-crispies with a special peanut butter and then covering them in chocolate mixed with culinary wax(it raises melting point). They are amazing, in fact I'm going to get on now.
