With the summer holiday coming to a definitive end, at least where I am, I was starting to wonder: how common is a holiday romance getting?

I was on a summer camp for a week, and it was like it was the most common thing in the world with only 23 people there. I have to say that I was one of them, and it all lead to nothing, since we almost forgot about eachother more quickly then I forget about a broken cup.

So how common is it for you guys? Often, not at all, never in your life?

A couple of times, it's a bit of no strings attached fun in the holidays.

Well, I started working over the summer (IE:A full time career), so I didn't really have a holiday. I have a steady girlfriend anyways, so I wouldn't have one even if I was on summer vacation.

I would never do this, I get attached, and I have a long-term girlfriend. I couldn't handle it any other way, that just isn't me to be able to have a week-long stint.

(I'm male FYI)

I went to a Science and Engineering Summer Camp.

DO YOU THINK THERE WAS ANY ROMANCE?

It's incredibly common.

During my single years I went on holiday with the lads purely for holiday "romance".

Can't really call it romance though when really all I was going for was to spread some baby gravy around.

But yeah, a lot of people go away purely for the no strings kind of thing.

LOL, replace 'Science and Engineering' with 'Mathematics Olympiad' and I'm with you, old boy!

However, I did get kinda close with one of the girls there. I ended up just chatting with her about philosophy for about an hour and a half on the walk to and from a Noel Coward play that we attended on the penultimate evening. Might've taken it further were it not for already-in-a-relationship. First time I got pissed was at that camp... thinking back on it, there weren't that many stereotypical high-school geeks at that camp.
