Do you have any holiday traditions that you used to or still practice every Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa?

I have 2 longstanding traditions. One is when my sister and I have the advent calendars with chocolate and have a race to see who can find chocolate for that day soonest for nothing more than bragging rights. One year we even wrote in marker who won each "bout", I can't remember how well I did though.

The other tradition is the pickle ornament on our Christmas tree which is literally a shiny green glass pickle. What we do is on Christmas Eve night my Mom hides the pickle on the big tree we have in the entryway. Then my sister and I search for it and whoever finds it gets to open a present that night. (I think I have only won this twice in my whole life, I'm horrible at finding things.)

So, if you guys have any interesting traditions that you used/still practice this holiday season feel free to explain them.

Skip church on Christmas.

That has been my official tradition almost as long as my mothers tradition to go to church every Christmas.

Every year, the family goes out and each buys a piece of 'Christmas Tat'.
Essentially, the cheesiest, most cringeworthy tree decoration you can find, for under £5.

Our family doesn't really have any unusual traditions, but we follow alll the usual ones such as putting up a tree and lights.

Christmas Tat is easily my favourite kind of tat ever.

Every Christmas, I wake up at 12 PM, go into my living room and open my gifts, then slink back into my room to play the games I was given.

Then we have a huge homemade Italian dinner, courtesy of my mother, and I go to sleep happy.

Oh I nearly forgot another one.

Another thing is about 2 days away from Christmas Eve we go to Menards...(Yes Menards). which is like a weird cross between a home improvement store and a furniture store. During that period they have tons of Christmas trees on display and we walk through them and find a new ornament for that year. Plus we always end up getting some hot chocolate from the coffee dispenser there.. definitely an odd tradition.

Usually at christmas, I go home to family, or a couple of times, meet a girlfriend's parents.
If I'm at My family's then we usually wake up, have stockings (I still get one and I'm in my late 20's XD) then have 1 present each, afterwards, we go out for a walk, usually somewhere new each year, but recently we've been repeating places, get back, have another couple of presents, have beef wellington for xmas lunch (If you don't know, I'd explain what it is, but can'tbe bothered JFGI), with veg etc. then open the rest of presents (If they haven't all been opened already)(Wow, I'm using a lot of brackets today aren't I?)then play with them, or watch DVDs that have been given, usually the most violent or scary, for the laughs, then at supper, we have cold wellington with other stuff, then beddy bye-byes, on boxing day, screw around with the rest of the presents that didn't get a thorough breaking playing with then lunch is brandy glazed gammon, with onions roasted in cream and other veg.
then, wait for supper, leftovers for supper, bed, then do whatever until I go home on the 27th or 28th, unless I stay for new years, which is your average new years.

If I've gone to meet a girlfriend's parents (Only happened at xmas twice) then I do whatever they want to do for however long I'm there.

Tl;dr version: Wake up, stockings, present, walk, lunch, presents, supper, bed.

No. I've gotten bored with Christmas. And I find it pointless and annoying. Same with birthdays. Mine included.
