Yay I'm back! (although I strongly doubt any of you noticed I was gone...)

Recently there has been a lot of controversy in the news about the weather and the holidays us Brits have been taking in particular. Mostly about the weather man getting it completely wrong, predicting sun and being bombarded with showers in reality, and a record number of people choosing to stay within the confines of their own country to get some R&R due to the credit crunch.

I was one of those. I've just been on holiday up to wee bonnie Scotland for a week with the parents and my bro and had a canny time. I went quad biking, clay pigeon shooting (which incidentally I am fucking awesome at) and kayaking twice, along with numerous walks etc.

So whre have the rest of the Escapists been getting themselves off to this summer?

Any good holiday stories to tell?

I went to San Fransisco for two weeks and it only rained on one day, but it was the day I planned on doing the de Young and the Legion of Honor so I was inside all day anyway.

The only time I left my house was to go to England for Escapism UK.

Why are you embarrassed, museums can kick ass sometimes. The Natural History Museum kicked ass when I was there a few years ago.

Well I went the sonisphere festival in Finland. It was fun, I saw Metallica from pretty close (after standing nine hours in a crowd running low on water).

I went to France and got very drunk with people I don't know in a different dingy bar every night.
