Holidays

So I just got back from a kind of two week holiday. First week was brilliant, spent it living at one of my friends house basically partying and hanging out 24/7 with some friends, an xbox, a lot of booze and every Arnie film ever made. Second week went away to the lake district with family and did some quad biking and kayaking and general adventure stuff which was also pretty fun.

So where has everyone else been over summer and what have you guys been up to? Or where are you planning to go before Autumn hits if anywhere?

Well, the week before last I went down south to Kennebunk, Maine (in the U.S.) for my buddy's wedding. The bachelor party was Wednesday night - we went barhopping in Portland, including a hookah bar, which was very cool. Mmmm, creamsicle-flavored tobaccy. I stayed at the same location where the wedding was, a very nice hotel called the Nonantum Resort. The wedding itself was that Friday - very good time, the groom and groomsmen (including me) all wore kilts. A ***** to get on, but pretty comfy and stylish. Open bar. And the traffic wasn't that bad, considering the President was there that weekend. All in all, a very nice few days away.

well I don't know if they'd actually count as holidays but I've been to some music festivals this summer going to another on Friday. my family just got back from a week in Crete I didn't go because I can never really get my head around holidays with the family, and from the story's I've heard they had a pretty poor time, the inclusive bar shut at 11 and it was quite a trek from the hotel to the village.

*sighs* abso lutely fuck all, I would have loved to go Kayaking at Symonds Yat but you need money to do everything these days, so I've just been walking my dogs around my boring, shitty little village and sitting on my arse.

Going to see Metallica in Ireland soon - week and a half. Should be great. Seen them once before, and they were simply amazing.
