Anyone else totally ignore the tabloids and scandals of the decadent Hollywood lifestyle? Because I couldn't care less if ___________ has an affair with ____________ and is trying to steal _____________ children.

Personally I think too many of my friends invest too much time and effort in keeping track of it.

Your thoughts Escapist?

I care just enough to say I don't care on a forum.

To elaborate (and undermine my point) I do dislike the focus on actors personal lives as it detracts from performances as I want to watch a character not that person who was sleeping with that other person and adopted a kid from country X.

Of course this is nothing new, during the "classical Hollywood era" relationships were mediated/constructed by the studios to maximise bankability of "their" stars. 'Singin in the Rain' (1941) offers a great critique of the phenomena.

That, and the fact that the newspaper itself is inherently biased against everyone that doesn't agree with fucking Rupert Murdoch's twisted ideas, are the two main reasons I stopped reading The Sun. I follow a few celebrities on Twitter, but that's it. And those celebrities are ones who are actually talented, and interesting individuals. People like Charlie Brooker, Stephen Fry, David Mitchell and Florence Welch. You'd have to bloody pay me good money to follow the likes of Kanye West or a Kardashian or someone off that crappy 'Essex' show. And the money would have to set me up for life. A long, good life...

Ditto.
I don't give one %^#$ what _____ is doing. Unless they're visiting my house (In which case I hope they brought their own beer, cause I'm not giving any celebrities free beer) I could care less. Well I suppose if it affects me directly I would care as well, but the odds of that are nil.
Last thing: Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert, those are the only two celebrities I care about, but they're actually famous for DOING something, like, you know, making a difference in the world.
