In hearts of Iron 3 (a WW2 pauseable rts) Germany had taken over Norway,Sweden, austria, denmark and poland. However france was still holding on the border because neither faction wants to assault the the extremely built up defences. So Began operation Surprise. (im Great Britain btw)
I transported troops to liberate parts of sweden and Norway and began an assault on denmark. I took copenhagen and its island which germany would be loath to attack. Then I transported troops to the northern coast of germany and took Berlin and Hamburg.
Germany took troops from the france border to kill my dudes.My guys held out and eventually france assaulted the border with switzerland and made amazing progress. At some point the Soviet union and a random south east asian country joined in with the fun. Eventually switzerland forced germany into surrender. F**k Yeah.
