Just curious to know what moment(s) has the Escapist realized/done something that just made you go, "Holy shit..."

For me, it was this morning. I was walking to the car with my dad and I've been about his height (he's 6'0 even) for about 3 months now, and I haven't noticed any change. But when I was walking with him, I looked over and noticed my eye line was above his head. I stood next to him and it turns out that I had grown 3 inches in my sleep. Is that even possible? I was 6'0 even yesterday now I'm 6'3. What the fuck?

So, Escapist, what moment had you saying "what the fuck?"

Ahhhhhh but then i must ask, old people sleep loads yet get smaller and smaller, like watching a pile of brownies at a party. Where does this fit into your theory

Though i'm sure i've had many a moment, the one which i first think of is when i woke up and had about 5 seconds complete amnesia...

The only weird thing for me is sleepwalking and becoming completely disorientated when I wake. Its actually kinda scary.

I once got up, walked downstairs, opened the front door, went outside, pulled down my trousers and started peeing into my neighbors flowers. I had been sleepwalking and i woke up right about around the peeing bit. THAT was a holyshit moment if ever I've had one.

I couldn't get to sleep at all one night so I just played some games until like five in the morning. I thought I heard footsteps outside my window and a man saying something about a fridge, then banging on the glass. I opened the blinds and saw nothing but pitch black, then I opened my room door and saw nothing but pitch black. I said "holy fuck" to myself quietly and went to sleep.

Ive lost track of how many times that happened to me in real life but I did have one time I said it without it involving a continue screen : I was playing fallout 3 one time and I was out in the wastes looking for new locations when suddenly I had some lady run up to me and yell"Help I got a bomb attached to me!" and she ran off quickly followed by a gut filled explosion, and all I had to say was what the fuck?

also its possible that you just grew over time and the circumstances of which you were comparing your hight was diffferent until then.

Then he said that my bedspread looked lovely from the tree outside. I think he was smashed; he'd climbed the tree and was waving at me when I went to check. Made me go WTF, it did.

Me and my brother were driving one time and saw a homeless person with two huge trash bags full of cans tied to his person, a shopping cart with two huge bags in the basket, and six huge bags tied to the outside of the cart...that mother fucker probably made a fortune at the recycling center. Goddamn it was hilarious, we drove by him like three times just to see it again.

The times when you have a completely dreamless night and it feels like you JUST went to sleep. I call them "5-minute nights" because that's generally how long they take. It also leaves you with a lot of energy for some reason.

I once saw two blind men run head-first into each other in the middle of the street.
Neither of them realized the other was blind so they both got really pissed.
The whole thing ended with what has to be the most bizarre fist-fight I've ever seen.

My moment was a "LOL WTF" moment. We we're walking back to a dorm across the quad to return the gamer's stuff. The sprinkler system started up. Two of the sprinklers immediately start hitting something: one was a lamp post, the other an old oak tree. I didn't think my school could be that dumb.
