Didn't really see the hype behind it isn't it just like a ps3 version of second life only with better graphics? Have you seen the types that frequent second life? I didn't see the hype behind little big planet either seemed just like a ps3 simplified version of garry's mod. Then again I am a home-less xbox owning vagrant (due to being too poor to afford a ps3) so I'll go back to roaming the streets with my fratboy gang.
i have been waiting for two f**king years for this damn software, i came within an inch of selling so many times but held on because i wasn't going to wait for that long and never try home, so basically i can sell my ps3 after tomorrow
Really? You kept a ps3 for second life? Go play the sims (By play I mean turn it on and have you people stand in the same room) while talking to someone next to you in txt language and you can save yourself a day. I'm not against home or anything, but all the systems have some stupid avatar system. The Miis are exciting as paint and the avatars for 360 are an even more immobile ripoff, and while I will give that the ps3 rip off is more thought out and nicer looking, it might be to little to late. Sony maybe knows that and knows it has to be free and out before 2009.

Oh and their was only like 5 clothing options and to get more you have to buy them, but it costs real money.
So you can choose buy a shirt for you in real life or buy a shirt for your character in home,

no, i kept the ps3 because i was psyched for this once and wanted to play it, even if was only once. it's a little irrational i know, but i guess i just didn't sony to defeat me. like i said as soon as ive played it i'll probably put my PS3 on ebay

Seems like more of a novelty than anything. Would be nice to have a community to call our own (PS3 users), but there will always be the same tards making their voices heard, and ruining the (somewhat limited) experience, for regular users. For example, some female avatars being stalked and bombarded with profanity and malcontent. Or so I've heard from Beta testers.
Whenever a price tag is put on something, I find that I have be getting something worthwhile to justify it. Slightly different clothing doesn't warrant real money imho.

I agree about the clothing/furniture point, but HOME is a place to chat and easily get to know new people not to make the best room or have the best avatar. It's only there because some sad people will spend money on this (and most likely a lot); that revenue made + the revenue from the advertising will give SONY money for other things, so I won't complain.
