In a recent fit of nerdiness I decided to write some custom rules for a lumberjack class for D&D 4th Ed inspired by jokes from the first few episodes of Unforgotten realms. I figured I'd share the work so far with this forum. Keep in mind that its still a work in progress and any feedback or advice would be much appreciated.
LUMBERJACK
Role: Striker. You run in, hack a few creatures, and then fall back.
Power Source: Martial. Your axe is your best friend.
Key Abilities: Constitution; Strength; Dexterity
Armor Prof.: Cloth, Leather, Hide
Weapon Prof.: All AxesBonus to Def.: +2 Reflex
Hit Points at First Level: 17 + Constitution
Hit Points per Level Gained: 8 Surges per Day: 10 + Con. Modifier
Trained Skills: Endurance (Con)Choose 3: Athletics (Str); Acrobatics (Dex); Nature(Wis); Perception (Wis); Streetwise (Cha); Stealth (Dex); Intimidate (Cha); Thievery ( Dex)

Lumberjacks are powerful and resilient people who fell mighty trees for a living. They have powerful arms for swinging their mighty axes and dislike heavy armor as it impedes their movement lessening the power of their swings. Their common disregard for nature means that they are usually not welcome in societies of beings that respect it, such as elves. Often after selling their timber, they will stop in for a drink at local taverns and thus know how others will commonly behave in them. The danger of their profession has also led to sharply honed reflexes for avoiding falling trees.

Lumberjack Class Features
Tree Cutter: Lumberjacks get a + 3 class bonus when cutting down trees and it takes half as much time as usual to cut down trees or cut up already cut down trees.

At Home In Nature: When in a forest environment, you gain a +2 class bonus to Perception and Insight.

Bar Regular: When inside a bar or tavern, you gain a +2 Class Bonus to the skills Streetwise and Insight.
Enemy of Nature: When interacting with races with strong ties to nature, you get a -2 class penalty on all skills that require Charisma. You also score a critical hit on a 19 or 20 on creatures with the plant keyword.
Hindering Armor: Due to the fact that lumberjacks fighting style requires much maneuverability, Armor check penalties also affect the lumberjacks to hit rolls and tree cutting DC rolls.

Still Trying to think of more

Lumberjacks Arm: Prerequisite: Lumberjack, You gain a + 2 damage bonus to all melee attacks made with an axe.
Tree Cutting Rules:Make a strength test and refer to the chart to the below. It takes about 1 hour to cut down most trees. Cutting trees requires much labor so you can only cut down one tree per day.
Success: The tree falls without trouble, it is now ready for use
Fail by 4 or less: The tree proves too tough for you, but you can try again after an extended rest.
Fail by more than 4: The tree falls toward you. Make an acrobatics check and refer to table on below, if it hits you it deals 1d6 damage per size level (ie a small tree would do 1d6, while a large tree would do 3d6) and you are knocked prone and dazed.
Tree Table:

Tree / DC
Pine / 20
Larch /25
Birch /30
Redwood /40
Small /-5
Large /+5
Huge /+10

Fallen Tree:

Size / DC
Small / 15
Medium / 20
Large / 25
Huge / 35

Once cut down trees can be used for numerous things, but must be made into manageable sizes for most tasks.Cutting it into manageable sizes takes 1 hour * the trees place on chart (ie Small =1 Huge =4). Once in manageable sizes, they can be used as improvised weaponry, sold, or used for lumberjack powers. You get 5*trees place on chart usable pieces of wood by cutting it up, which can be sold according to the following chart.

Type / Selling Price Per Piece (GP)
Pine / 6
Larch / 8
Birch / 10
Redwood / 20
