For those of you that cook, which tastes better? Something that you made/cooked at home or the same food item you bought in a store?
Bread, for example. I know how to bake bread (from scratch) and I've found that any loaf of bread that I make is a lot better than store bought bread. The same goes for pizza. Pizza that I made myself, again starting from scratch, tastes much better than store bought (Red Barron, Tony's etc.) and it's even close to tasting better than restaurant (Pizza Hut, Domino's etc.) made.
And homemade cookies are far, far better than store bought (chips a'hoy etc.)

Homecooked has its perks but is limited by skill and attention span. Store made tends to have this weird taste, or at least store made Chinese food, could just be the food but it never tastes like takeaway, but store made seems to end up with less grease than anything I make.

Home cooked is always the better option provided you have some time and some cooking knowledge. If you cook something yourself from scratch then you know what has been put in it and more importantly it really does taste better if you make it yourself

Home cooked if it's done properly. I love me some DIY dinners, but I can't make bread to save myself.

Home cooked, from my experiences store bought is usually kind of bland and uninteresting...

If you spend enough time on the road, eating fast food and at restaurants every night, a home cooked meal will taste like mana from heaven...

Buying things from the store is for things you can't make at home without expensive equipment, so mostly home-made, but some things you have no choice with.

The exception for me (in a different way) is chocolate chip cookies. They can be made at home, but when I made them following the recipe they turned out breadlike, and I can cook other things pretty OK.

To counter the above, however, I'm an advocate for home grilling.

Buying something from the store is easier, but you don't get the same satisfaction or taste as you would making it from scratch. I enjoy cooking most of my food though some things are just better to get from the store

It depends. If it's a cake or something that you've made from scratch, they're always nicer. but sometimes stuff you buy in stores isn't the worst either.
