Seriously is there anything bad about this game?

THQ... you are my new gods. Kaos Studios are demi-gods.
unfortunately.... because it doesnt have the same marketing push it will flop because activision or EA will probably do their best to buy up all the adspace that should have been devoted to this game :(

Oh THQ, sometimes I really do love you. Not only did you have one of the best Steam sale packages this past holiday (Every Dawn of War, Company of Heroes, Saints Row, Metro 2033, DarkSiders, Red Faction, Stalker...for $50) but it's the little things like this that just make me happy.

And honestly, 16 vs 16 sounds fine if balanced properly. I love CoD4 more than is considered healthy, but even I admit that 25 vs 25 servers can be just too chaotic and have a bit of a clogged up feel to them.

Let's wait until we get to see the whole deal. Black Ops was also supposed to have dedicated servers and in the end you had to rent a server with Activision's exclusive partner.
Possibly because the guy in your pic.
I know, isn't he great as a response magnet? I chose bobby over the troll-face because i thought the troll-face was too subtle.

Interesting.

All of these good news surrounding Homefront is piquing my interest in the game. I just might purchase this game, if only to support the developers.

We shall see...

The console guys that get into this won't ever wont to go back to the peer to peer of cod and the likes. This should set the bar which also means the devs will have to stop being lazy with the PC crowd. Loving all the stuff I hear about this game and all the cool stuff Kaos and THQ are doing here.

I saw the trailer for Homefront.

I wondered for a bit: "Where have I seen this kind of nationalist zeal before?"

It took me 30 seconds to realize: "National Socialist Germany."

Step back in the right direction. Hopefully the game doesn't bomb and scare other devs away from dedicated servers.
Don't worry, it's not the only game using dedicated servers. Even downloadable games like Monday Night Combat have dedicated servers these days. It's only the big guys who use P2P matchmaking because they believe there will be so many people playing that it's cheaper for them.

Wow. Not only did you miss the entire point of the game, but you managed to throw in the Nazi card as well.

That requires some talent.
The game plays on nationalism (or 'patriotism' as American nationalists like to call it). You can not deny it.

The game plays on "holy shit, we've been invaded, wouldn't you protect the ones you love from invaders on your home?"

Also, coming from a guy sporting the communist banner as their forum avatar, I'm finding your posts to be quite heavy on the irony.
If it was any other invasion, Americans would not buy it. It is absolutely clear that it plays on patriotism. If you do not see this, you are partial (biased).

I do not see the irony in a Communist speaking out against nationalism.

I'm sure you don't.
If I knew of a way to enlighten you I would do so. For now you will live in darkness.

Wait, doesn't this mean that the company doesn't have to pay for the servers?

IF so, why is anybody not including it then?
