Correct me if i'm wrong, but these mods don't affect anyone not running them... do they? (I do run modded stuff very often)

I quite liked some of her mods, I have nude mods running for both genders just so its more realistic. Shame there's a lot of whiny twelve year olds on the internet too insecure about there own sexuality.

i dont play pc or modded games, but i am outraged at this bollocks. how dare a group of immature dickheads hound someone cos they produce something not to their taste. i bet these people are the first to scream freedom of speech and expression when the gaming industry is attacked, yet they turn in to bigoted arse holes when a female (from what i'm reading is a popular modder) becomes involved in what they see as a male environment, the pricks.
please if there is anyway we can contact her, i would like to get involved in showing her my support

Well... I am gay and don't write hate mail to everyone who made female MOD models. In fact I don't even feel threatened by nude models, because...

- they are NOT REAL
- I´m not forced to install a mod
- sexuality doesn't matter when playing computer games

And strangely homophobia only happens to people who never got to know a gay person. You'd be surprised how many of my friends changed their attitude after my coming out.

i still dont see whats so 'gay' about it. ya know, i can be a touch homophobic myself under the right conditions, any straight man alive knows this and there are two kinds of us, those that feel this and those that lie about it, but i still dont see what the problem is. Good lord try looking at an average porn websight for 20 seconds and you see monster peckers all over the place.

i dont think its proper to call this homophobic. childish, ignorant, bully syndrome, yes. i just dont see the connection between the two though. if a woman makes a nude mod for the male toons in a game you cant get much more straight than that. also i wouldnt even go so far as to call any MEN who DLd it homosexual either. i bought leasure suit larry MCL and installed the patch to remove the censorship and there was larry with his digital pecker a flapping in all its glory, did that make me gay? should i even care if you, my fellow internet bums, think so?

i just dont think this is a 'gay' issue in any aspect. it seems much more likley to be a 'wolf pack' mentality. a group of bored morons with nothing better to do single out this person because of her work and simply attack her for no other reason than they can.

i only wish it had been ME they had come after. they might have learned a real lession they would never forget. then again its the net so outside of a few harsh words typed at me what else could they (or i for that matter) do? should they ever want to take the issue beyond the net though ........ that might be fun.

The majority of the populace have always been idiots, but this sort of stuff tends to cross my nerves. Why can't people just fucking leave other people and their hobbies alone. If a person likes to do something then let them do it. Gah I'm sure me and the majority of the escapist community would gladly make at least one of those "attackers" never write things like that again, or at least until his broken fingers are healed.

Just so that we're clear, it should be remembered that there are quite a few anatomically correct male body mods other than AlienSlof's. I use one, and it works quite well.

That said, obviously the harassment of this modder is completely out of line. I will add that I personally never liked AlienSlof's mods myself, though. I found them insulting, degrading, and objectifying. That is, they were exactly as bad as the torrent of equally insulting, degrading, and objectifying mods that fetishise female characters in-game, and I see no reason to discriminate based on the gender that's suffering objectification. I say this as someone who likes the vast array of female clothing mods around for Oblivion, but who wishes he'd not had to spend so many hours searching for armour for a female character that doesn't make her look like... well, you know. I found it quite depressing that there were hardly any decent clothing mods for dressing up male characters, and when I found AlienSlof's work was disappointed to see that it was every bit as disgusting as that which had been created for female characters.

That said, though, the reaction to her work is absolutely unacceptable. While it would be quite acceptable and indeed morally upright to criticise objectifying mods on feminist grounds, whether those mods target women or men, that sort of personal attack, and evident hypocrisy as regards the objectification of women, is horrible.

No, I didn't like her mods and I will not mourn them, but there should be a minimum level of respect given to all human beings. That this behaviour is a blatant double standard only makes it worse.
that's so gay.

in all seriousness, let the girl have her penises. I do think it's a little disturbing that most of these nude mods only come into play once the person's dead. They die, you take all their gear, you're left with a naked corpse.

If naked corpses are supposed to be sexy, there's something wrong.

Oh no, my e-feelings. Please I'm trying to parody here. And I can call boobs...breasts...anything I want to. Just because I call it "Bewbers" doesn't mean I'm trying to censor. I'm not saying you should say it the way I you want to. If anyone is hypocritical it's you, trying to censor people from leting them say words the way they want to.

Yes I do who know who the Puritans where. And I think you're the one who is confused. Puritans were god-fearing snoops.(Edit:They were the pilgrims too ;p) Who pretty much are the basis of most of the american(US) morals. It's why we're ok with violence but when it comes to nudity we shiver.
Well, now that we all know that the Puritans "where" "god-fearing snoops" we can all get on with this discussion. Puritans were only as prudish as they were as a byproduct of european victorian ideas. Though you are right about them being the main portion of the American moral soup, I'm not sure that the puritans were ever ok with violence.

And i'm not trying to censor you, it's just a bit odd to have a discussion against something juvenile when you can't discuss it in an adult way.

Actually, that sounds like a pretty effective way to keep people from constantly using the 'take all' button, and actually deciding with a degree of caution what you want and what you don't. Encumbrance rules barely work the way you want them to, so why not force the player to look at dead man's cock if he wants to desecrate the corpse by stripping it down?

But yeah, this whole thing is just another sad tale of bullshit on the internet, and yet another reason why my hope for humanity is on a constant decline.

I would disagree with that. Plenty of people i know either know, are good friends with, or have been friends with gay people and their perspective never changes.

I loved Slof's work, especially her work with the male figure.
I think we should write a collective letter giving her our support.
If you find out how please let us know because I would send one too. Not a big fan of the peen myself, but at least this woman produces quality work. That should be respected. Y'know, in addition to not being hatefully unfair and all.

poor lady i suppose,................. BUT if you let people on the internet contribute to your own bad health, you are a crybaby little girl and really shouldn't be on the internet. Were they rigging her car with explosives or something?

...The internet is serious business afterall.
I'm starting to agree with this. For both the replies((Apparently my defence of being called a hypocrit is juvenile.)) to my posts and the woman being harrased by homophobes. Then again it's the internet why should you care what people half way around the world think of you.

I will never look at a "loot all" button the same way again. *shiver*

This is definitely discrimination, someone better sue for this, I'm sure they can have the grounds to do so.
