Christianity is a faith based belief not works, God knows we sin, thats the reason for the cross(to be an atonement for our shortfallings) So you can sin and still go to heaven, as long as you have placed your faith in Christ (sorry to preach but just saying it's not works based) So no if you divorce your not going to hell, its the non acceptance of Christ that sends you to hell. So your right in saying those two things you picked out are sin but misinformed as to what sends people to hell. We all sin and as such all deserve hell but we live under grace and as such have a way out of hell.

Ah, finally we get to the meat and bones of the argument. I love this line of reasoning and I'm so glad you brought it up. Now you've allowed me to say that under your own beliefs I can go out and kill people, mutilate their corpses, rape them anally before they die(and again after they die), etc, etc...but, as long as I accept Jesus as my personal savior afterward and get "saved" that I'll be able to go to heaven.

But, if I'm a gay man and I engage in consensual sex with my partner and remain monogamous and faithful I'll still burn in hell for all eternity because I was an abomination. Or, can I get a "get outta jail free" card if I accept Jesus and become "saved" at the moment before my death?

See how this works? The more you attempt to justify your bigotry the more I'm able to use your own words to prove you're ignorant and a hypocrite.

*Sigh, I really should have clarified, salvation is also a matter of repentance, its not a get out of jail free card. If your truly saved you won't go out and purposefully kill people or steal etc. The new creature in Christ verse deals with that issue pretty good. If you say, wait till the end of life to get "saved" chances are you are not repentant of sins or really placing faith in Christ.

Also if your a child of God and you continually live in sin God will judge you accordingly.

So while yes you can "turn my words against me" in some attempt to discredit a belief, it really just comes across as someone who is contrarian just for the sake of argument, brought about by lack of understanding of a religion.

From my understanding, the Christian God loves all of man unconditionally. Due to his unending love, those that have committed a Christian sin can confess their sins and repent accordingly. They will then be forgiven for those sins and are then free of sin again. The whole idea is to get into Heaven afterwards, and you need to be free of sins to accomplish that. So, that's the punishment. If you are "sorry", you go to Heaven, and if you aren't, then you go to Hell.

The point is that it *doesn't matter* what sin it is.

^ Agreed, We all know a huge majority of games either don't even have a potential partner for the main character, or it's a flimsy plot device so you have a reason to get to the end of a level.

If there's no partner in the game, what's to say the main character is not gay/ bisexual/ transgender or just a furry into bondage? The only thing not stating the character's preferences would be a lack of stereotypes.

Unless Super Metroid would have hugely improved by the helmet coming off at the start and Samus stating homosexuality, then letting you start the game? (Note avoidance of ancient spoiler)

Also, this particular issue is completely subjective, though I like to take what I call the "Bill of Rights" approach to this issue. The Bill of Rights applies to all Americans regardless of race, religion, colour, etc. As far as I'm concerned, there is no good reason this shouldn't extend to sexual preference as well.

Basically, if a Male gets too little testostrone, the brain gets confused and thinks of the body as a Woman. This is why they begin doing stereotypically feminine things, leading to the Gay stereotype.

Now, I'm not gay, and I don't know any Gay people, but I do support Gay rights, marraige, and the works. The media take the prime examples of things they know, and blow it out of proportion.

I do not support gay marrage at all, but I don't run around calling homosexuals pervs (though, in my personal opinion, I do think homosexual relationships are perverse).

Regular people dont want to hang out with homosexuals because then other people would assume that the straight people are homosexual.

There's nothing hypocritical about it.

I don't have a problem with religion as long as you don't let it dictate your life, that's not what it's about. People don't bother to think for themselves and are content to be led along like sheep. I only took jabs at his religion because it's those kinds of people (the more extreme breed of course) that start all the heinous shit in this world, all in the name of their god instead of using some fucking common sense.

He see's homosexuality as a sin because his religion says its wrong when there's really nothing inherently wrong with gay people; Who can obviously also be religious. Their sexual preferences do not dictate the kind of person they are. It would be like being trapped in a burning building and being rescued by a fireman that you knew was openly gay. Your religion says they're "wrong and are going to Hell regardless." Are you going to let his "sinful" self save you or tell him to leave you to burn to death?
