Though I must point out, a comic doesnt have to be a masterpeice to be popular. Just look at Ctrl-Alt-Del
Yeah, that's not really a good example. I thought it was alright. Not good, not bad. I would have your friend work on his art. The characters are something that could have been made in five minutes. It does not have to be a masterpiece, but he can put a little more effort in.

The humor was childish and not really my cup of tea. Maybe someone else would like it though...

I read the first one and there was something missing from it - humour.

The main thing I noticed is there's no Next button. You have to go to latest then read backwards by clicking Previous?

Edit: Ah i see, clicking the picture goes to the next one. A next button would be best though, if you have the other buttons there then there might as well be. It's still missing humour.

You sort of need a joke in them. Things that people find funny are generally things that people can relate to, or something that is a bit offensive. Randomness only occasionally works, but not to everyones taste.. and sometimes it'll just backfire nastily as people will hate it. Ctrl+Alt+Del, haven't seen much of it but it probably covers the things that people can relate to.. it's also been known for a while so people will read it despite things being crap. The art work is also better, if it's going to be fairly bad then the humour or story needs to be excellent, better than Ctrl+Alt+del.

Post the comic on here.
If I knew how to, I would. Just trust me on this one. Wait a minute, Im a faceless internet prick, why the hell should you trust me.

Here's a random one, you put img in brackets, then the image url, then [/img].

Now, on to the criticism. The thing rarely has the funny part in the last comic, which I get the feeling isn't intentionally. Also, possible due to the once a day nature of it, some didn't have any funny part. Worse, there were long stretches of that between good ones on occasion.

It also had punchlines were people said "YAY!" once or twice, which is a bit of a cop out.

Still, had one or two moments that made me laugh.

Just.....awful, please no more
Yes it is, and I'll tell you why.

1.) The drawing is just awful, that's about all I can say, it's just bad, period.
2.) Random things can be funny, when introduced into something resembling a cohesive plotline, but you need a foundation to introduce the random humor onto, a plot made up entirely of penguins and giant Oreo shaped battleships just gets people really annoyed, really fast.

I read the first three comics and got a headache from the copy/paste style.

Really not funny. If it had good images, some kind of non-retarded humour and characterization, maybe it would be mediocre at best but as it is it is just awful.

...sorry....

The animation is awful and there is far too much text.

If he got someone else to draw them for him and he limited himself to a certain word quota then you might have a decent comic (but I wouldn't count on it).

Here's something I just drew up as an example. Firstly you can see it is slightly offensive, as well as something people can relate to. This is something that happened to me the other day, except the iron part. I got a text and my girlfriend wanted to know what it was, I told her and she laughed, then got annoyed with me. Converting simple stories into jokes or sketches is what commedians usually do. Here is the comic:

Now this is a version which matches the humour of your friends comic:
