you probably don't actually play online competitive games like SC2 or TF2
1. That's borderline inulting but it is Strat call.

and it's best to check profiles as he has a youtube channle with WOT videos on it. Which is a competitive online shooter(in a lose term).

and funny enough both of those games have large map pools that are rotated in and out of competitive play, so same question to you there bukko.
You call a half dozen 1v1 maps for SC2 rotated out every few months large, and larger than the map pool of 2 rotated out every few hours from a pool of a half dozen or so? If your counting all the retired maps then sorry their not in the rotation. Your complaint would only be valid if they don't add more maps in the next 6 months. Which they already have they're just not in the rotation pool yet.

And before you add they should have 2v2 instead of just 4v4 they have 1v1 in the offline mode, and it's clear that the fewer players wouldn't work out so well. They had to add a separate goal to ensure the players actually find each other in the 1v1 games. Without that you'd just grab a roller and stay as far away from your opponent as possible.

SC has 7 maps in the 1v1 rotation
with 46 non-retired maps in the long rotation

This is also excluding the dozen or so in tournaments like shoutcraft or MLG who use custom maps

So the answer is yes, competitive star craft 1v1 has a very large map pool, even in WOL there was something like 20 maps in the long rotation.

assuming all the missing features are actually missing instead of added for comedic effect. who the fuck though this is release-ready?
Mainly because...they don't matter? Like seriously, most people (cause if I say all the one other person will appear) don't really care that any of the features aren't there because it's just so much fun. In addition, some of the features missing (like the choose your own map) isn't there because they want to guarantee a game and the game is being continually updated weekly with new maps and modes a la TF2 for free so most of the "missing features" are really minor.
I agree it's a tad bit unpolished, and it needs some work. Thankfully Nintendo can fix these (minor) harps in the many sequels that will come. It is a creative little game though, and the only multiplayer shooter that I can actually enjoy. So points for that.

Also, am I the only one that thinks this would make an amazing single player platformer? We need more games that let you run on walls.

This was certainly an interesting direction to go with the Bloodborne DLC.

This is the worst thing about the Splatoon community by far as according to the game, the inkling characters are only 14.

That's too far, if you ask me.

Leads me to wonder whether or not they played the game at all
Best thing coming from Splatoon period, with that compilation of inkling girl art not only having so many awesome references I can't count, but I'm about 80% sure at least two of them are direct variants of Kodomo no Jikan art, which utterly floored me. And it's all this soon after release. We're going to be getting this stuff for years to come.
