Well, it's official, i got my PS3 paid off yesterday. Came with Killzone 2 in a pack.
I read the forums quite a bit and see alot of negative post about this and that.
So i enter this to say thus: I had hoped the PS3 would be good and so far it has more then lived up to my expectations.

So to encourage discussion: What have you bought recently that left you saying "yes, that was money well spent " ?

World in Conflict. Its fun Lanning with friends, and now we're working on a mod with the modkits (at the cost of my precious bandwidth).

Uncharted. Got it because everyone here said it was good. It started off feeling like Prince of Persia with guns, but has turned out to be much, MUCH more enjoyable. I'm about 87% done with it and I'll probably be a little sad when it's done.

I bought I am Legend (the book), read it and it was money well spent.

I also bought Røyksopp - Junior, that too was a good buy:)

Wow. The last game I bought and played with friends I had pre-game was...
Warcraft III.

...Wow.
I've sorta reached the point where I'm buying games for my friends more than myself. Lousy bastards, with their laptops. They have to come here and LAN with me and have fun! How dare they...

Valkyria Chronicles lived up to my high hopes, but... I don't own a PS3. I am a sad, sad panda.

GTA: Chinatown Wars is as good as I hoped. Weird that it's not selling well though.

Oblivion, I've had it for about two weeks and I am nowhere near finished it. It is so much better value and more fun then the last few games I brought.

I once bought 20 gift bags for about 20 cents each. I was really excited. Serious.

But it would probably have to be Assassin's Creed as I hardly buy games for myself. Thats what a rich brother is for! I love him.

I decided to get Left 4 Dead for shits and giggles, and because I was bored stiff. I didn't have high expectations of it, I thought of it as relatively repetative but maybe it would entertain me for a while. It was just 45 euro's anyway. Now I can say it's one of my favorite games of all times.

On a non-gaming note, I also recently started with the Discworld series (atm reading Reaper Man, I paused the Guards series for the apperantly important plot link between the last Death book and the next Guards book ). I already bought 7 books about 9 euro's a piece, and I can say I'm definatly hooked :p Definatly my money well spend, and I'm not even close to halfway through the whole Discworld series.
