A pretty simple question, or a very tough one depending on the person, what do you hope and dream for in life?
I myself am an aspiring writer, since I was nine years old it has been the only thing I could ever see myself doing.
So what do you, my fellow escapees, hope to become or achieve?

My ambitions change after I watch films / tv / play games too much.

The one constant is to be happy and to have friends.

Oh and healthy, that'd be grand.

I hope to become a game designer, something do with history, maybe a teacher. At school I'm taking 2 history classes, and Advanced Java, and introduction to C++, so right now either one looks like a future option.

My ambitions change on a regular basis. But i'm going to end up doing something creative and making friends. That's the two things I want out of life.

About 4-5 years ago, I would've been able to answer this one pretty easily, but now? Not so much. I wanted to be a musician, well, when I say that, I mean a much better one than I am now. I mean, I'm an ok euphonium player, but after playing in a state youth band for a few years, I realised that that most likely gonna happen. Now days, I guess I really don't think about it all that much. I live more for the here and now, rather than plan ahead into the future a long way, although I guess I have my reasons for that.

Yeah, would be brilliant. But I bet I'll screw up my audition. I don't make good first impressions.

Right now I'm studying to be a A.I. Programmer for video games. But my dream since I was 12 was to be a professional drifter in Formula D.

It's always worth a try. You regret the things you don't do more than those you do do.
And hey, you've made a decent first impression in the posts I've seen you make.

To be self-sufficient as an independent games developer.

To find lasting love.

To fight for the resistance movement when the totalitarian world government takes over.

To usher in a new era of human peace, prosperity and freedom.

There is a difference between being friendly and chatty online (where you just type in a message and then random strangers can read it whenever they want) and trying to convince the people at a very fancy and select drama school you deserve one of only 19 places on their course.

I'll try. Sounds better than some advice I've heard for when you're nervous.

Its a pretty hard question. I'm almost 28 and I still don't know what I want. I know what I don't want though. I don't want to be chained to a desk forty hours a week. I want to continue working outside building stone walls for people. The pay is fantastic and the work is more rewarding than anything else I've done. So I guess I want my health to hold up, the weather to stay nice, and enough clients to keep me gainfully employed.

edit: Jesus, Geek@Heart you're such an compassion w...*cough* I mean someone who wants a lot of compassion.
Thank you for this. I'd always thought we got on so well, and now you've proved me wrong. I'm glad you've shown me the error in my thinking.

And yes, a bit of compassion would be nice, seeing as no one bothered showing me any in the rest of my life.
