Des kept to the group and especially close to Kes, though every now and then he gestured or smiled towards the female mortals on the ship. They usually smiled back, his captivating charm and appearance ensured that. Even with the slightly charred clothes he was wearing, Des had the ability to appear to have many of the traits people found attractive, already adding to the good-looking base that was his unaltered appearance. Brown hair and orange, clearly supernatural eyes with a well-trained, lean body, and slight tan. Of course, he was sure that most of the reason was his bright smile. It certainly wasn't the dangerous, if well-made, dagger he was carrying on him.
At one point, someone had handed him an apple, a girl with a shy smile and beautiful body. He had kept it, putting it in his pocket. This was because that while he ate food, he didn't need it, and his body had to get completely rid of it in his stomach, leaving not a single trace, which took some time. He had thanked her, of course, kissed her hand and spoken to her some more, though what they had talked about was mostly poorly disguised flirting and even a couple of kisses.
When the others had walked somewhere, he smiled to the girl and told her he'd be back as he had to keep up with the group. Well, he didn't need to, but he wanted to know where they were headed, if nothing else, could always come back later. After all, it would benefit both of them if they made the exchange of pleasure and vitae.
What kind of man would I be to leave a girl all by her own, after all?
It turned out that they couldn't, however, as the long sea-voyage was actually done at that point, and they had left the ship, only to be escorted somewhere else. Des frowned, he wasn't quite sure if he wanted that, he'd promised that woman that he would be back, after all.
But I should stay with the group.
Not only because of Kes, but she was certainly a large part of it. It was because ot the group, even though the group itself kept changing, people leaving, mostly. Some new had joined as well. Even so, he felt terrible as he thought of the girl, she probably was alone as well, though she didn't seem to want to wander the horizons.
It'll be fine, she's beautiful, and she'll find a handsome man. He'll be like, at least half as handsome as me. And just as nice.
Finally they came to the end of their trip through the town, Des having missed most of it because of being distracted. However, when he noticed who they were visiting, he smiled to her.
"But if you're to stay the night I have to ask this. Who are you people? Here, in my home? Well, one at a time."
He waited for his turn, then stepped closer.
"Bonjour mademoiselle, I'm Des, it's lovely to meet you." He'd been told that the mortal language he knew the best was quite elegant sounding, so he wondered how this lady would react to it. "Thank you for letting us stay, if you need anything, please let me know."
