The Shining. While the book scared the shit out of me, the movie was almost quaint and charming in its oddity and out-of-the-ordinariness (also I watched it for the first time at a point where it was far too dated to be considered scary by today's mainstream culture) to the point of making me nearly suffocate laughing.

Plan 9 from Outer Space. That movie is just so horrible, it's hilarious. I have no real comments other than...wow.

If only more psychopaths went made mad in "the shining" way and quoted talk show catchphrases...

I tend to laugh at horror movies regardless of how good they are since most of them don't scare me. The only one I've found somewhat scary is The Shining, but that's leagues ahead of most of them. The funniest one's I've seen are Final Destination movies. I expect a good laugh every time an obvious death scene begins.

Every single one of the Sci Fi channel (I refuse to use the other spelling) movies. I find them wonderful and watch them every chance I get, but they are hilarious.

However, I'm not really sure that they are supposed to be 100% serious, so I am a little conflicted.

Also, the films by Asylum Films are great.

I honestly don't know why people have not mentioned these to this point.

That's what Dead Snow was like for me, for example. It wasn't scary, but it sure as hell wasn't funny either.
Dead Snow was too busy trying to be intentionally campy and funny, which is why it wasn't as good as the Evil Dead... see, it was trying so hard to be the Evil Dead (that character who likes movie even mentioned it at one point) that it missed why the Evil Dead was so good. It was good because it was low budget and silly but it was trying so hard to be taken seriously. Dead Snow wanted to be exactly like that, except the special effects were actually... good.

I thought that Paranormal Activity was hilarious. I watched it with my friends and we just sat there making jokes about it the entire time.
OMG yes!! It had the same effect for me. My brother would not stop harrassing me so I would watch it, and when I did I could not stop making fun of it and calling scenes and plot progressions before they happened.

Paranormal Activity is truly THE movie this thread was made for. I mean, he doesn't put the camera down EVER. Even when his girlfriend is lying on the floor crying, HE'S STILL FILMING IT!! Originally I thought the premise included several static cameras set up to passively record shit. That's what the trailer basically showed anyways... But no, this a-hole is lugging around this stupid camera the whole time, no matter what torments his girlfriend is going through, he's there to film it diligently. Oh man, I really really tried to get into that movie and be scared, but there was no way that was going to happen.

It's either, you're an idiot and therefore the movie works, or you have half a brain and understand what plot exposition is, and how it should rely on more than just one dumbass dragging a camcorder around, and then the movie just doesn't. But I did try to get into the movie I really really did, but my disbelief was not suspended for even one minute. And I now consider it to truly be the stupidest movie I've ever had the displeasure of watching. Either that or The Fourth Kind. Same thing there, what with all the fake "real" footage.

The latest Friday the 13th was pretty hilarious in my opinion. I was rooting for Jason the whole time. But these kids...holy shit, they are stupid. If one of your friends gets his head chopped off, wouldn't splitting up without weapons seem like a stupid idea?

The crap on Chiller. I was watching Supercroc the other night.... laughed my ass off. To be fair though, an unintentionally funny horror movie is a lot better than a movie that's not so bad it's hilarious, but bad enough it's boring... looking at you American Haunting.

I could have shown a whole bunch of scene from this one movie. But I think you should watch it instead to feel how retarded and funny it is at the same time. Its called Diary of the Dead. If you haven't seen it, go watch it!

One hilarious one was Evil Breed: Legend of Samhain. Horrible irish accents. Horrible acting. Total cringe and lulz.

The Dawn of the Dead Remake, in my opinion, is actually a good movie, but i'll still laugh at all the rediculous awesome stuff that happens in it.

Like in the first five Minutes or so, an entire Gas Station gets blown up just...well...because.
