How can COD's multiplayer be improved, or is it as good as it gets?

Since 2003 we've had CoD 1-4, United Offensive, Finest Hour, Big Red One, Roads to Victory, and World at War. CoD1 was one of my favourite games, and what has happened to the franchise really annoys me. It's going the Guitar Hero route, and it's only going to get worse.

LoL it's not sonic man, get into the games. At it's heart 4 was completely different from the rest of the series, and world at war had some welcome changes as well.

Remove the cops and air-strikes. They ruined the chance of survival on outdoors maps like shipment and stuff

Cod's multiplayer could be fixed with the most simple solution ever. Re-sell Call of Duty 2.

That game was perfect. No perks. No CoD3/CoD5 makers. Weapon Balance. That game was just perfect...Then they made CoD3 to try to improve it, and in some regards it was fine, but still. CoD4 was just like wow, because I don't have extra power on my sniper rifle, it can't kill in 1 hit! Or, even if I do have stopping power on my sniper rifle, Juggernaut still makes it useless! And then in COD5, Oh look, I have stopping power on my bolt action and it still takes 2 shots to kill someone, so why not just use a semi-auto gun?!?

COD's multiplayer failed when they made COD4, in my opinion. Which is why I snapped my disc into 6 pieces and threw it in my fireplace.

I'd say character customization, but I hear that's a feature in the next Modern Warfare, so in my opinion there's not much to be improved upon.
