So I've just signed on, and my web browser of choice (internet explorer) has updated or something.

I don't like the new layout, I find it clunky and unresponsive, finding my fabvorites is a *****, they the screen seems to large etc. etc.

More or less, I do not like the new look and layout of it, and was wondering if anybody on the escpaist knew of how to change it back.

ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest changing web browsers, but I don't believe that there is a way to go back to previous versions without uninstalling what you have and reinstalling the previous version you like.

Too messy for me though, I like my Chrome.

Download Firefox or Chrome :3
Sorry, I know nothing about Explorer, so I'm of no help. But Firefox and Chrome are better and my suggestion is to switch to one of those.

If you upgraded to 8 you probably should learn to live with it and adjust it because it is the most secure and current version. Using an older version can even cause some websites to not display properly.
You can also try Google Chrome and Firefox to see how you like them but I suggest you stick with the most current version of which ever one you choose.

EDIT: Look into adjusting the menu bars and icons in IE 8. Right clicking on a menu bar brings up a shortcut menu to some of the customizations available and a few tweaks there may get you to a look you are more comfortable with.
In general I doubt many people here use IE. Personally it is only open on my machine for verifying web site work for my classes because it is the browser used at the college I go to. Otherwise I am using Firefox or Chrome depending on what I am doing.

Internet Explorer is for viruses, Firefox for add-ons, Chrome for blitzkreg fastness.

IE is awful, upgrade to Chrome or Firefox. This is what everyone else will likely tell you, I agree with them. I started using Chrome and I never looked back.

I completely disagree with your choice of browser, but, as I like to think I'm a nice guy, I'll help you out.
You can get an older version of IE from:
http://www.oldversion.com/Internet_Explorer.html

You may need to uninstall the new version.

I was going to say that IE is probably the worst besides Safari on a PC. Apple is trying to rule the world they snuck Safari into an iTunes update a while ago.

The question was not about how to get a new browser.

Clearly that is lost on most people.

Any help I believe includes informing you that older browsers are not secure and will eventually cease to work because of new and improved web coding techniques that were not programmed into older browsers.
But you are welcome anyway.
