How did you choose your avatar?

I chose mine because I've grown to be quite a sucker for love stories in anime/manga. My current is of Ruby and Sapphire from Pokemon Adventure, I've also have ones of Horo & Lawrence of Spice and Wolf, Shirley & Lelouch from Code Geass, and Zack and Aerith from FFVII.
It chose me. I went through a few completely unrealated avatars for awhile (Flareon, Articuno, Ryudo from Grandia 2, Frost Atronach from Oblivion, and one or two more), settled on an non-animated Hypnotoad, got off my ass and got an animated one a few weeks later.
ermm because I'm too lazy to upload something else. and I'm not fond of hiding behind pictures of someone or something else. also, I'm a brute. 
I like Black Mages.
I like Fire Magic.
I like Classic Games.
So here is a Black Mage from the first Final Fantasy casting Fir3.
I also tend to use the (NES) Black Mage for a lot of my avatars to keep it consistent, though usually he's just standing there since not many places allow animated gifs for avatars.

Well, if you noticed some of my avatars (Which I doubt), some of them are crazy furry things, which I like. So yeah...after my little Axel addiction I cropped this one.
