Well, I didn't really choose mine so much as it was grown in a tank partially from my DNA and it's the only one I get.

No, I'm a big space nut so a terraformed Mars seemed like a good choice.
There's a good quality 4-image series someone made of the stages of terraforming, so if I can find a good .gif making program my avatar 2.0 will probably have all four stages fading from one into the other.

I did have a nebula because Im a space geek, but then someone sent me this and I couldnt stop laughing for some reason.
(btw there is a smaller caption under 'Happy Plane' which says 'he will kill you and everything you love, happily')
I have also had my rugby team logo and the Movember badge because I was supporting it

I chose it because it was the perfect choice, this is my online multiplayer model (and possibly real life portrait) in Halo 3 as it was in Halo 2. Naturally if I was going to look like this while playing online, it might as well have been my account face for the Escapist as well.
Also the E is there just as a way to finalise my involvement with the Escapist.

OT: I drew this for a trading card game I made up a couple years ago, and it's my favorite image. Its name is "Photor the Blarg", and I got that name from an old article on 1up.com. I've doodled Mr. Photor a thousand times in old school notebooks, usually with stick figure people being tossed into his gapin maw.
It has since become my avatar in seveal places, and remains the icon of my website.

It's a picture of the late, great band Biffy Clyro. They've not split up but They're DEAD to me! :'(.
Just reminds me of how epic they were for the first few albums, which I occasionally need as their last two are dire.
