How did you discover the Escapist ?

Someone posted a ZP of Fallout 3 on theblackswordman.com forums (site dedicated to anime/manga Berserk). Now I don't even go there, though some users there were quite interesting. Like Neiru, very smart, or CthuluCultis (mostly his signature gifs). And chat there. Oh, the horrors of the chat room. Here, newcomers are warned about about Religion/politic, there it was chat. But R/P here is still tame compared to that. Google Berserk troll rape with safety off if you want to see some of the weaker stuff that appeared on their chat on daily basis XD

Being curious over what the fuss over this Yahtzee fellow, I came over and started watching

Afterwards, I lurked for several months before joining up.

(and the Escapist brought me to TGWTG.com)

All of this took around 6-7 years to play out

I came here after I saw the BioShock 2 ZP video which was linked to me from another gaming site I used to frequent.
Seeing the forums to be full of life and finding out that ZP was a weekly thing, I came here to stay. Now you poor bastards are stuck with me!

I somehow discovered DM of the Rings (TwentySided [http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=612]). It is an awesome webcomic made by Shamus Young, an Escapist contributor. He writes a column here, Experienced Points, though I haven't seen a new post of his in ages. So that's how I got here. (Shamus' own stuff is really interesting too.)

A friend told me to look up Doraleous and Associates. After misspelling the name several times I finally found the escapist magazine. After watching the 14 episodes there were at the time, I decided to watch some Apocalypse Lane. After that, Zero Punctuation. Been Lurking ever since, was here when Extra Credits, The Big Picture, and Daily Drop started. Eventually I finally decided to join the forums.
So now I have to re-watch everything to get the badges, and extra credits is gone... F&%#$*@!!!

I was sick and confined to my bed with nothing more than my laptop for entertainment. I remembered an amusing video that I had watched once where a guy talked non-stop about games, putting them down as he went. One quick search later and I was led to the Escapist. After watching every ZP vid on offer I then proceeded to watch all of Apocalypse Lane shortly before signing up. I've been here soaking up content ever since.

Same here. First video I saw on this site was ZP for Halo 3, a friend linked it to me and I was hooked. I've slowly spread through the site like the red weed. Also was slow to make an account.
