How Did You Discover The Escapist?

How did you stumble onto The Escapist? For me I googled MoH Airborne review and I noticed a cartoon thumbnail so I clicked on it and I was witness to my first Zero Punctuation video. I probably watched the video 5 times laughing my ass of each time. Then I forgot about it til Nov of last year when I set up my account.

THIS. This is the exact same reason I found the Escapist, and I was watching Zero Punctuation videos before I even set up an account. MOH Airborne, its mediocrity brought me here, so I guess I have EA to thank for making me love this community. lol

Someone pointed me to Zero Punctuation, I laughed my ass off, and watched and rewatched those episodes over and over for weeks. Then I started exploring the rest of the site. I still like ZP but it's not my favourite part of the site anymore.

I credit the Escapist for getting me interested in video games again after years of disinterest.

I knew of the site a long time ago. I've been an internet forum nomad since the 90's. I'd occasionally see links to the escapist over at mmorpg.com- but chose to avoid this place due to what I perceived as draconian forum moderation.

The escapist is my last stop on a long list of dead/dying forums as I wander this series of tubes.

This, then I actually decided to watch'em, then I lurked for a few months until I discovered the forums, then lurked for a while reading a open Zombie Apocalyspe RP of all things, finnally decided to join for said RP only for it to shut down that day, I've been here ever since and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon.
