Metal gear solid 4 online; I wanted to pick a stealthy animal for my name without picking something cliche like chameleon or something.... So Gecko.... except I almost always spell it as geK0 (emphasis on the "K0") or geh-k0.

Hazy992 because I like how the word hazy sounds and I was born in 1992. It was originally going to be Hazy92 but that was taken on YouTube so I added another 9 in there. Pretty boring really.

Long before I was active in on-line forums or mmo's, I was checking my email and saw a banner ad for apple strudels... but it was tiny and had an odd font, so for a fleeting moment I read it as apple shrapnel. Thought it was an interesting, almost cute combination of words.

Few months later I get an Xbox 360 for my birthday, and I totally seize up when prompted for my gamertag... I blink a few times, stare blanky at the screen, then suddenly remember that ad I saw. :p

I assumed spaces in names wouldn't be allowed, so just used capitalization to keep things legible, and hence: AppleShrapnel

Since then, its become my default handle for forums and Steam. Pretty much always gets condensed to just "Apple", but I don't mind. :3

My username is essentially designed for one reason. To help other finns recognize me online. The name itself is derived from Donal Duck comic books, where members of the Beagle Boys are referred to as "karhukonna" (literally Bear Criminal or something like that).

It also serves as a direct reference to the comic book, that most finns will instantly recognize. It also sounds funny to me, so I use it most everywhere.

I also used to go by the username Stormwing at some point in time several years ago on a very small-scale board. Then the board got redesigned and I had to register again. It was then that I shortened my username to just Storm, which I kept using in combination with my iconic Emishi avatar. This allowed the other members to know who it was without asking. I used this username on several small proboards forums.

Isn't that Avatar Mike from BitterSweetCandyBowl?

My Username and Xbox Live Gamertag was something that random name generator on Xbox live. I like it though. Have no idea what Chromatic means.
This icon is my own character if thats what your asking

Well I saw some guy named Gandalf the Grey. I really like Lord oof the Rings and he inspired me to make a LotR inspired name. I named mine after Aragorn who is The Lost King of Gondor.

I go by several names these days...

--Skywolf09 (sometimes simply shortened to "Skywolf")--
Came from a rather stupid discussion I had with a friend in my early teenage years about Star Fox, which ended up with us coming up with the names "Skyfox" and "Skywolf". I ended up starting to use "Skywolf" as a name in video games and online forums and it just sort of... stuck. The 09? Just tacked on for extra length where it was needed...

--AirborneLupine--
Just "Skywolf" with fancier words, what more do I need to say?

--Silky Sky Kitten--
Someone once called me this as sort of a silly pet name in the MLP usergroup here on the Escapist. I ended up really liking the name, and as such later on down the line I started using it on Steam and on Skype. Pretty much has stuck with me as my current default username ever since...

I do not have a consistent username on the internet.

If you want to know who I am elsewhere, you will have to deduce it from my opinions and behavior, any possible unique tendencies that might be shared by very few users elsewhere on the internet.

If you can't figure out who I am elsewhere because of the (semi)consistency of opinions with a few nuances, tough luck. That's the point, I don't like being held down to a reputation, that's part of what the internet is about.

When making a name for Runescape I kinda just hit the keyboard at random.

My name mostly comes from tarot (Major Arcana IV). I misspelled it so I continue misspelling it as tradition. My other one (firelegendmushroom) is an amalgamation of Fire Emblem, Legend of Zelda and Mario.

I have three that I use regularly, depending on who/what I'm dealing with. HellrimeWarlock is my Xbox tag, because Hellfire is already taken and Hellfire Warlock is my favorite DnD prestige class.
Element Zero here, and on City of Heroes, after the McGuffin element from Mass Effect.

And Fargoth everywhere else, from the first Wood Elf who whines for your help in Morrowind.

Easytarget was the nic given to me by the first clan I was in back in the days of quake, quakeworld, quake 2. Been using it every since.

Man did we have some fun playing a little known CTF mod called LMCTF (still have fond memories of off-handle grappling which gave you the ability to grapple while firing weapons).

LOL, these earliest days of quake were played on a 1200 baud modem

My current name I am using is the name of one of my City of Heroes characters. I knew I wanted to use the name Clive and I needed a last name. I asked a friend of mine and he said Howlitzer. I found out later he meant to say Howitzer but typo'd. Oh well, here we are with Clive Howlitzer.
My ORIGINAL name was actually Vejita, which was just a play on Vegeta. Since when I first came online, I was like 13 and DBZ was all the rage. Over time though, even though all my online friends knew me as the name, I found it carried a stigma so I slowly tried to ween myself off it and onto Clive Howlitzer, an equally retarded name.

Blitztank came from my love of Transformers and at that point Transformers: Animated was showing and Blitzwing was a really awesome character in that show so while gunning to see if Blitzwing would work (it didn't) I decided to change the second part of the name to reflect on his Tank mode, nonetheless it just stuck from there. The "Baron von" part came from me thinking my original name was too short so I decided to lengthen it and from remembering playing Croc: Legend of the Gobbos on the PS1 I remembered that Baron was possibly the most badass title I could think of (from the villain of the game, Baron Dante) and I decided to add "von" after because I thought it sounded a lot better.

Unfortunately this is privileged information, so unfortunately I cannot allow you to leave this planet alive. Good day sir.

How did you come up with your name? Did you steal it from some obscure NPC,

Mannayz is loosely based off the name I frequently used on Steam; FoxyMayo. The origin of that name came out of boredom in a chatroom, my last name, my favorite sandwich topping, and Photoshop.

Turns out it was kinda funny.
