When I was 10, a friend of my brother brought over a laptop that had Rome: Total War on it. I played the hell out of it and begged for him to bring his laptop whenever he came by. Years later I ended up up buying it and a couple easy to run games and playing them on my laptop, not long after I got a much more powerful laptop which lasted me a few years until it broke, and then I moved onto building my own computer.
I built mine 2 years ago for about $700 (this includes all peripherals) and I'm still running most game maxed out at 40-60 FPS.
I know you're going to get bombarded with quotes telling you this but you can build rigs for much cheaper than $1000 that are considerably better than consoles.Silentpony said:I'm not. I'll get into PC gaming when rigs that preform better than consoles cost less than $1000.
Until I'm happy being able to play any game released, guaranteed.
