Never got the talk, learned from a mix of friends, school, and experimentation with friends of varying types, perhaps not the best way but hell it worked

Noooo! Don't say that kind of thing! Make it stop!

OT: Informally from random conversations in junior high. My "formal" introduction to the topic was in my high school sex ed class. Let's just say my parents were overly protective on that subject. They went so far to put multiple and major blocks on the cable TV network and the only computer in the house, and even called me out of class the days they were to go over sex ed. The only reason I got it in high school was because it happened at a time where my parents didn't have any good excuses to get me out of school and they had no days off from their work; they were incredibly panicked and flustered when that happened, let me tell you. They finally caved on the issue and gave me the "talk" last year... the summer after my first year at college. Yeah, way to go mom and dad...

I was in 3rd grade, watching discovery with my semi conservative Christian dad, two wolves started going at it. I didn't really think much about it but he decided to take that opportunity to explain the alpha male and than love and than that girls have TWO HOLES! for the next 3 years i thought they looked like the Sarlac pitt from star wars revenge of the sith... i wasn't excited for sex.

I had a book that explained it, narrated by a bird and a bee.

Well, fine, technically the book focused on where babies came from, but it still mentioned that part of it. When I was little, my dad used it like a storybook, and I would always read the part of the bird. Unconventional, I know, but effective.

...

WHAT.

Through school, sex ed. I'm so glad that I didn't have to go through "the talk" with my parents.

My dad told me when I was twelve that my penis was used for making babies by putting into a girls vagina. Just like that, no birds, no bees, just what I was supposed to use my dick for.

Learned on my 9th birthday. Mother took me down to the basement, kept the lights off, had me sit on the couch next to her as she explained it. Was so awkward, explained why my horny older sister kept getting moods where she wanted to crawl into my bed in the middle of the night and snuggle as close as possible with full contact...>.>

I pieced it together when I was in the fifth grade. When they taught us about masturbation, I quickly pieced together what I learned in my studies about sexual reproduction, with the studies about the male and female sex organs. For a human to be conceived, the semen must be delivered into the vagina, so I thought the most logical delivery system would be where the white stuff immediately comes out off: the penis.

... yeah, I was a really odd child, but hey, it spared me the awkward talk with my parents.

Kingdom Hearts Fanfiction, sort of, when I was eleven.
I took everything at its word, and went on to realise a lot of it was actually fairly accurate in some respects.
But some was waaaaay out there.

i don't know, some time during elementary school i though "well babies result from sex (not sure where i got that bit-obviously before this, probably from tv) and boys have different things than girls, maybe they go together?"

and thus started my life long quest to not give a shit about relationships. (thats what i want to believe, don't tell me its cuz im socially inept)

I learnt through a mix of older, high school friends through my primary school years, reading adult fiction novels cause I was a major bookworm and kid storys bored me at 10, and the way too late talk from my parents. By the time they gave me the talk, at 14-15. I already knew about sex. They never had sex ed while i was at school, or they had it on days when i was away cause the teachers knew i would give them hell about it.

Like that old joke about the teacher asking little Johnny about sex and him replying that he knew 100 ways to have sex. The teacher then replied with "well why don't we just go with the man on top of the woman" to which Johnny replied, "Wow! Now I know 101 ways!" with me playing the role of little Johnny and my teachers facepalming or head/desking themselves into next week.

Mostly school. 5th grade, 8th grade and, 9th grade. My Dad also did a horrifying condom demonstration (he used his pinky finger and a balloon, it wasn't THAT horrifying)

My older friends. Me and my parents never had 'a talk'. My dad told me when I was like 13 and started hanging out with a lot of girls basically not to put 'it' anywhere, and that was it. He was just as blunt about drugs, (lol, pun) but I haven't listened quite as well to that.

Let's see... if I remember right, I figured it out Kindergarten-ish since my idiotic father didn't know the term 'age appropreate film'. So, I never needed the talk.

Still need the how to not be utterly akward about It talk though.
