How do I embed pictures in the forums?

Just a question,but how do you?
I've been looking all around for how to and all I came up to is a bunch of nonsensical stuff,so could you please help me out?
(also,what does this mean {image(alt,align,width,height,caption)]?)

I right clicked on the picture and selected "copy image url".
To get a picture to have a url, you have to upload it to an image hosting site, such as www.photobucket.com , or www.imageshack.com
