I am 20 and I have no car at all and I really want to drive. I tried to do my drivers permit and I failed it 3 times ready. I have studied and I mostly get 32 out of 50 for the Nevada state driving test. I would like to know how can I figure out a way to drive and get a drivers test so I can get my own car? Thanks

Having just now glanced at the online PDF of the Nevada Driver's Handbook [http://www.dmvnv.com/pdfforms/dlbook.pdf] and taking the sample test [http://www.dmvnv.com/dlquizlt.htm] I can see how one would get a few questions wrong as some of the sample questions cover statistical data. That's not to say that the test is unfair (you never said it was, which is a good sign about you), but this just demonstrates that you need to study more.

Here's an interesting/funny question from the sample:
7. You may use a center turn lane:

a.) as a travel lane to pass other vehicles.
b.) to make a left turn into another street, road, or driveway.
c.) to make a right turn onto another street, road, or highway.
d.) all of the above
.

If you really want to pass this test, go into it with deathly seriousness. Print out the 70+ page handbook in black and white and highlight everything that's a fact or listed as part of the law. Then take everything you highlighted and write it down in Q&A format on flash cards. Review both formats and test yourself constantly.

And remember: "Never buckle two children into a single safety belt." (page 21)

Even if you get a permit, you're still going to need somebody to drive with you, so I hope you've got that lined out. Even though you're 20 there might be a waiting period you have to go through from acquiring the learner's permit to taking the actual driver's test. And you need to ACTUALLY be able to drive.

Apart from that, how much money do you have to spend on a car? Do you know all the other costs associated with having a car? Keeping the license updated, oil changes, inspection, insurance, etc? Technically you just need money to GET a car and buy it and the title from somebody, but in order to drive it you have to get an up-to-date registration license sticker from the state. In my state (Missouri) you can buy a registration license that lasts up to two years. For the first time around they may want to do an inspection, or have you go to a place to get it inspected and bring them the results, but otherwise you just give them your info and your car license plate info and they give you a sticker to put on the license plate. And of course pay them a nice hefty fee.

Also, you need insurance. You can get some insurance that's actually comprehensive, or there are lots of places that offer bare minimum coverage if you don't have a lot of money.

So...yeah. No offense but the way you've worded this it sounds kind of like you just woke up last week and decided you wanted a car, and I can't tell if you aren't passing the test because you don't know these things or because you aren't a good test taker. You shouldn't just hit the road if you don't know the rules, you're just going to get yourself, your car, and somebody else hurt.
