How do i get Baldur's Gates multiplayer to work?

I was going to play Baldur's gate with a friend and I'm just wondering how do we get the multiplayer to work?

If it's Baldur's Gate 2 you're talking about, a friend and I actually played some of it. I can't remember the exact details, but I remember it being pretty easy to set up. If you're having problems, install hamachi [http://hamachi.en.softonic.com/], set up a network and have your friend join. Then just use the lan setting from in-game and you should be good to go.

Were trying to get the first one to work atm.

Ugh... BG2 multiplayer has been a massive pain in the ass.

Maybe it was on my friend's end. I tried all I could though, firewalls, hamachi etc., but my friend wasn't as willing to try that stuff out.

I would try using DMZ but since my brother uses it I can't. It will be more of a hassle for some people than others I guess...

I fixed it with a program called Gameranger in case anyone else wanted to know how to fix it.
