How do I get into bleak falls barrow in skyrim?

Hi - it's on a mountain and I /can't/ /get/ /to/ /it/. I've looked at the walkthroughs and they're just like "enter bleak falls barrow" (golden claw, dragonstone). Oh.. Would do. But *it's on a fucking mountain*. Help?

Start at the stone bridge at the north end of Riverwood. When you cross, there is a fork in the road. Take the left and follow the path winding up a hill, it will lead you west up the mountain. Follow the stone markers if you get confused, they are a bunch of rocks stacked on top of each other. Eventually you will come to a tower. Follow the path north and turn left at the trees, you should see some ruins. That's the Barrow.

The general trader in Riverwood will take you there as part of the Golden Claw quest.

Another helpful tip is to find the Clairvoyance spell. basically acts like Fable's golden trail objective marker. I found a copy in a mine near Riverwood. Can't remember the name of the place though. sorry.

And remember that if you can't finish a quest you can always roleplay as a brave adventurer who does not have the single blimey clue where he's going

Look for a path, do not just try to follow the arrow you have to find the road that leads there. Though most of the time I'll try to follow the arrow and end up climbing up the mountain as high as I can than just walk on the 90 degree angle cliff until I find the only piece of flat ground and I know that's the path.

Download a display roads mod for your map so you can see where they go and figure out how to get to places (thought they don't always display small paths like the one you need to find, they make them easier to find since they connect to the roads and it's easier notice the flat area branching off).
