How do I play Sleeping Dogs?

So I went back to Sleeping Dogs after months of just leaving it and now I tried to play and I forgot everything, so the game feels very weird to me.
Can someone teach me how to play it? I mean like what buttons to do what, how to pull of moves, and what can I do.
Because coming back to it feels very weird, and I'm jamming all sorts of buttons trying to do stuff I have a vague memory of doing, want to kung fu fight but I'm shooting people and can only kick but I kind of remember having full on fights and even a slow mo thing would come on and stuff but I don't know how to do any of that anymore, I also remember jumping on cars but I have no I idea how to do it now and I keep diving out of the car and shifting side to side when button mashing.
Can some one teach me this game, tell me anything, anything you know.

Start a new game and play through the tutorial. I just downloaded this game yesterday. It's free for playstation plus.

I recall, a lot of stuff get explained around the half way point, gonna take a long while to learn it that way.

Just replay the first few missions (theres a menu for that somewhere in the pause menu). Fighting and driving are introduced early on, its only the guns which come in at half way point - which is just standard shooting controls anyway.

Look at the controls on the options screen.

Look at the combo's screen, most attacks are pulled off with one button - one press of square for a light attack, hold square for heavy attack. Triangle should be counter ( which you press when the enemies turn red) Circle I think should be grab which can be used to do other moves.

The easiest way to learn is to play the game, i remember the fighting was very easy to grasp

Think batman arkham asylum and you are most of the way there.

Maybe theres an in-game manual to read?

X (or equivalent) is punch, Y (or equivalent) is counter.
Add in some LT/2 to aim and R2/T to fire and you're done.
