Copy the link you want it and write:
[ img ] (Your link goes here) [ /img ]
of course no spaces inside and betewen the brackets.
If you do everything right this should happen:
If you want to import pictures you have on YOUR computer all you need to do is go to a website like imageshack and upload YOUR picture. When the uploading is done you should get a link, so you can post around or to use to whatever you want.

It also helps get around "No hotlinking" prohibitions (since you're using a different server, they stop caring).
