I just throw the controller around the room and just hope for the best. I have SOOO much good luck to beat all my games like that.

Fine, real answer:
I hold my controller with my fingers on the triggers and my thumbs on the joysitcks.

There. The real and very UNinteresting answer. :p

I put it on a table and tap all the little buttons with my nose.

I got ya there! I just hold it normally and with my couch it's one of those L-shaped couches, so I always lie down on the jutting out bit and play.

Between my thighs. You'd be surprised how convenient having a third controllable axis is while playing certain games. It often means I can move while leaving my hands free to perform other actions.

I call it "enhanced joystick manipulation."

Are you going to do something with this information, or is there any reason that you want to know how other people hold their controllers? I don't get it.

Anyways, I have a cable hanging from my ceiling that my controllers are attached to, so they don't float away. Mind you, I am posting from a space station.

Serious answer: Index fingers over the triggers/L2-R2 and thumbs on anologs while having my head hover near the controller

Not so serious answer: I don't hold it, I have people for that.

I usually have the controler resting in my lap while I play, with my index fingers on the 'main' trigger buttons. This is LT and RT for the 360, and B and Z on the Wii. I don't own a PS3, but I held the PS2 controler primarily with my index fingers on the L1 and R1 buttons.

360 controller: thumbs on sticks (left-hand higher up than right hand), index fingers rest on triggers, quite tightly

PS3 controller: loosely for starters, then there's 3 variation: A) loosely, thumbs rest in the centre of D-pad and buttons; B) same as last one but index fingers rest between the shoulder buttons; C) same as before, looser, and tumbs resting on analog sticks

Depends which you are talking about, explain how you would hold this :)

Thumbs on III and II, left index finger on LX, left middle finger on L11, left ring and little fingers supporting, right index finger on Infinity, right middle finger on upper right R-arrow, right ring finger on R2, right little finger supporting with R4, nose on L3, teeth on diamonds, and tongue on I.

How else would you hold it?

I hold my 360 controller with my index fingers switching between the triggers/bumpers, and my thumbs switching between the buttons/sticks.

Sometimes, I'll hold my Guitar controller behind my head with no decrease in my skill. This is because I can.

My keyboard is attached to my lappytop, so I have no options in that area. :(
