How do you keep mice clean?

And when I say mice, I don't mean these.

I mean something like the image on the right (click for product page).

Because of it's dark colour, it's pretty clear when there's dirt stuck on it and in the crevices between the plastic parts.

I ask you:
How do you keep it clean?!

The way that I've been going about it is just getting a toothpick and gouging out all the obvious dirt. Which is ok, but some of it is left behind so...yeah.
There must be a better way.
Any tips and tricks would be awesome, as well as any funny stories about mice in general.

a paper towel slightly damp with rubbing alcohol.

Good. That's the hard stuff out of the way.

While I do use the toothpick method you use (but use a thumb tack instead), I also add some canned air action in there.

Also I use an alcohol swab (or cue tip dipped in windex).

Also washing your hands before using your computer

I remember when Blue Peter told us to do that...

Anyway, where does one get canned air and alcohol swabs?
