A Random Question popped in my head, and since this is one of the most educated forums on the Internet.

How do you know?

Plain and Simple, when do you know if Love is there? or if you just don't

When you feel a connection to someone that has nothing to do with common interests and doesn't necessarily have to do with personality traits. What I mean is you feel like there is some deep connection between you and the other person, but you can't explain why. This what I believe love is, from my personal experiences.

Do I think about them all the time, but not in an obsessive manner?
Do I enjoy talking to them/spending time with them?
Do I feel more for them than anyone else?
Can I let things go that would annoy me otherwise without much effort?
Do their feelings and well being mean everything to me?
Can I see myself realistically spending the rest of my life with them?

If you answered yes to all of that, then you might be in love.

Yeah, I would like to know how people know this. Because I'm not sure if I am in love at the moment. Maybe.

Never been in love so I couldn't tell you. :l

The cynic in me wants to say that it just doesn't exist.

EDIT: Romantic love, anyway. I certainly feel love for family members and such.

This pretty well sums it up.

To answer from pure personal experience, I knew I was in love when I realized that every hour spent with my boyfriend felt like the best hour of my life. When it felt like waking up beside him in the morning had been happening all our lives, and yet was a new experience every day.

I'm head over heels in love.

When you're glowing from the inside, can't get a certain face out of your head and everyone at your workplace is asking you why you're smiling all the time. :D

You know you were in love when you feel like a big chunk of you is missing when they're gone, when even their name or face can cause you to just die inside, and how even the slightest thing can bring back all those memories of them. I'd tell you what it's like to be IN love, but I just don't remember right now, that and alcohol is masking my thoughts.

This plus a smile from them makes your day better
you can converse with them about anything
little things remind you of them

When the mere thought of the person involved makes you so inexplicably happy that it defies all logic and reason.

And the best part is you don't even haveto know the person, sometimes you don't even haveto meet them, and with a really good imagination the target of your affection doesn't even haveto exist.
But coupled with lack of logic that can go horribly wrong: http://www.anigamers.com/2009/11/japanese-man-marries-dating-sim.html

Personally? When every thought is accompanied by a thought about them. Even if it is subtle, or far off. Also when you're in mortal danger, who do you think of first? I know when I was hit by a car while on my bike, she was the first thing in my mind.

When you are comfortable enough to be the gross, annoying, pain in the ass (that we all are) with each other and STILL want to be around each other.

Hmmmm... 'Love'
I bet it's nice having emotions, isn't it?
I wouldn't really know...

Well, i'd guess it's love when you stop being a selfish person and actually care about the other person.
