Anyways, I don't think if you actually saw the devil you would know it. He gets to you by you not knowing. So I guess he could be anyone he saw fit.

I think that he will first appear to you as a human a nice looking gentalman at that but as you continuly make deals and differnt services with him he will soon apear as a insane lunatic that will make you kill your first born and friends in the prosses take over the world with you as his pet....maybe thats just me

This is one of the most interesting ways to portray the devil I have seen, so I like to imagine Satan to be like that.

I always felt that the Silent Hill (the movie) version of the devil was a lot more interesting and nuanced than the rediculous theological devil. What I find interesting about the devil in Silent Hill, is that in a way she's actually the good guy, she's an entity that exists not to cause undue misery, but to punish the unjust. The theological devil, on the other hand, makes no sense. If he's the master of hell, and he's evil, then why is he going to torture the evil souls that get sent to hell? Wouldn't he rather sip martinis with them and talk about evil shit? Apparently not, he's so stupid that he spends his day torturing those who might sympathize with him.

So from a literary/filmic standpoing, I find Silent Hill's devil much more interesting.

However, there is no "the" devil. A devil is conniving, cunning, and generally what the thread's consensus is. I would like to imagine him as a shadowed figure of which you can never see his face, appearing in dark rooms or at dusk, looking around nervously before tapping you on the shoulder and saying "Hey" under his breath.


Satan is a fallen angel, which is completely different than a devil.

LOL the devil? The devil is in the lies we are told by those around us and he's in the details of contracts and negotiations. He's the handsom and suave buisness man in a buisness suiet breaking down what was once great and glorious into a product to be sold to the ravinous masses at a price. He is logic without faith and faith without logic. He is the decay of our society, our morals, and our deciency and common respect for one another. So such a corrupter, such a man made frankenstien avatar of the consiquences of man's ignorance could only look like one thing. Us...But if I was to give him an apperance it would be a man deteriorating and decaying dressed in white to emphisize his ego, for he is always right and better then everybody else. He wears a great golden crown, and presumes himself by his very walk and manner a great king. Even as he stinks and rotts and infects those around him with his dreadful leperosy of ignorance and corruption. I'm no christian, but that my freinds is a devil I think we all unknowingly share in this time and day.
