I know a lot of you are currently attending some form of school, and a lot of you are working and/or have a family to take care of. So I was wondering, how do you organize your day to be able to have time for the stuff you enjoy (e.g Gaming) Do you plan out your day minute-by-minute or do you just go with the flow and do whatever you feel like doing?
If you have an exam the next day do you forbid yourself from playing games or do you just plan a time when you can play.
I have a lot of exams this week, so I can't really do anything until Thursday. But I vaguely plan my days out. (Homework and unfinished assignments when I get home, clean the house on Fridays etc)
Just curious to see how you guys do it.

I spend the better part of my time trying to disorganise people and spread mayhem, it makes me appear organised by comparison...

I have a system based upon the previous days body count. If I hit four digits I take a day off.

I have a simple rota. On Mondays I do whatever I want, on Tuesdays I do whatever I want, on Wednesdays I do whatever I want. You can see where this is going. Or if I have an exam, I will open the book my exam is for stare at the pages and letters for a while, before proceeding to do whatever I want.

I'm recently out of school, but my days are as follows:

Work 9:30-6:00,
Practice clarinet 6:30-7:30,
Dinner,
Whatever the hell I want to do,
Half an hour or so before bed, I go downstairs to clean up for the day.

(There was biking and running time in there before I fucked up my knee, and hopefully that will return in time)

Because I have a stable, 9-6 cubicle job, I can pretty much do whatever I want from 7pm-11pm. If there are no rehearsals that day or chores to do, that means four hours of video games on weeknights :)

When I was in college, I would make all kinds of plans, but never actually keep them. Since I never need to study, this worked out fine, but I wouldn't recommend it to others. :p

I work 6:00am to 6:30pm Monday through Friday and I go to bed at 10:00 or so. So after dinner I really only have like 2 hours before I go to bed, and a lot of the time that gets taken up by taking care of bills, keeping my apartment clean, working on my car, etc. I'll get maybe 4 hours of gaming in from Monday to Friday. Saturday is my 'out' day. I go out with my friends or visit my parents. Sunday is my lazy day, to watch football(american football) and play video games.

Resisting the urge to quote American Psycho...

My morning routine consist of taking a shower, eating breakfast and either going to work or walking a bit.

Aside from my Uni lectures I plan nothing whatsoever. When I do my plans always seem to go awry anyway so I just go with whatever's happening.

I always make a little time for The Escapist though.
