How do you procrastinate?

I'm meant to be writing an essay that I really don't want to do, so I'm looking for more ways to avoid doing it.
I've read loads of threads here on the escapist, I've read MLIA, FML and even Average Cats, I've looked at SMBC, explosm, checked hotmail, checked facebook, mooched on TV Tropes, gone through pretty much my entire iTunes playlist working out how to play each song on my guitar, played a few games, made a cup of tea, read some reviews on metacritic, browsed youtube, read New Scientist, watched a DVD... and now I'm reduced to staring into the middle distance and occasionally writing a few words on this goddamn essay.
So I'm asking you, how else can I procrastinate? Please no replies like "Just do your damn work", that's precisely what I'm trying to avoid doing.

EDIT: As a first year in uni studying Chemistry, I haven't written an essay since GCSE, so as a side topic, any hints of essay writing would be much appreciated.

PS: Before I get the searchbar nazis on me, I did search and there wasn't anything quite what I was looking for.

I'm in the same boat, trying to write an essay on humanitarian intervention and doing possibily everything to avoid doing it. I've basically done the same, checked facebook, played abit of WoW, got a cup of coffee, got some food shopping done, even cleaned(!) and now i'm finally having to do this damn thing.

Look up a comedian on youtube. Like Lewis Black or Pablo Francisco.

I usually sit around doing nothing with whatever I need to do in front of me until I get it done. Having a reward at the end usually helps ("if I finish this, then I can go on the xbox without this hanging over me" for example.

Stupidly took a module on History and Philosophy of Science... one lecture a week and one essay a term - how hard can it be?
