How do you Rank your best to bottom FPS??

Hello friends,

In this thread we are talking about where do we rank our best FPS games.

Rank 1 - Masterpiece

In this category the FPS games are either perfect 10 or almost perfect or close to with few flaws here and there.

for me it include

STALKER SoC, Half life 1/2, Doom (series), FEAR, Riddick EFBB, Deus Ex, Crysis 1, RTCW and System Shock 2.

Rank 2 - Good to Great

These games are less than masterpieces but are great games. more like 8ish games. or low 9s.

Metro Trilogy, COJ Gunslinger, Titanfall 2, Prey, Soldier of fortune, MOH allied assault, Far Cry 2.

Rank 3 - ok to decent

They are the games that are just ok to decent like 7ish games and they include

Far cry 3, Rage1, COD1/2, Brothers in arms hill 30, Shadow warrior 2013.

Rank 4 - Mediocre to terrible

these games involve some of the worst experience i have ever had in FPS genre and they include

Bioshock Infinite, Wolfenstein 2, any post MW COD, Far cry 4 and 5, Borderlands, MOH 2010, Duke forever etc.

so my friends, this thread is kinda different from typical best and fav thread and here we put our games based on rank which we like most or not.

so how your best FPS rank? lets discuss.

Casual - like I do every other game, by how much fun I have by them... fluctuates depending on mood and affinity to gameplay at a given moment in time.

Critical - I don't, 'cos I'm not a critic, hell, I don't even trust my own opinion.

Um, no it isn't - it's simply the same thread of "best/worst FPS games" made in slightly different form.

Anyway, ranking FPS games is like ranking popcorn - there's far too many to count, and most of them are quick fixes for buttery goodness that are barely worth the time to evaluate.

See a game doesn't need to be a masterpiece to become a favourite of mine. If it taps into something I really enjoy, and only performs that aspect well, that's often good enough for me. That's why I still love Driver despite it not letting you out of the car compared to so many other games that do. Battlefield 1942 has atrocious bot AI, but the online multiplayer was just so god-tier I couldn't stop playing it. So from my perspective, off the top of my head:

Rank 1 - Masterpiece

Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Timeplitters Future Perfect, Unreal Tournament 2004, Operation Flashpoint, Battlefield 1942

Rank 2 - Good to Great

Far Cry 3, Unreal Tournament, Timesplitters 2, The World is Not Enough, Battlefield Bad Company, Agent Under Fire

Rank 3 - ok to decent

Far Cry 2, Turok Rage Wars, Mobile Forces, Battlefield Modern Combat, PUBG, Verdun, Ravenfield, Left 4 Dead

Rank 4 - Mediocre to terrible

Battlefield 1, Battlefield V, Nightfire, probably loads of others I've steered well away from.

I have not enjoyed any non FPS game this gen. apart from Hitman but season 2 was glorified DLC.

most recent non FPS i complete was RE2 remake and its just average game.

I like Bulletstorm, Borderlands 2, Far Cry 4 and, so far, Battlefield V and Shadow Warrior 2. I can't think of any others that I've enjoyed off the top of my head and I can't think of any that I've disliked or hated.
