Fallout 3 - All-around great fighter (100 in every stat!) with very good karma.
Fallout: New Vegas - Sniper specialist with very good karma.
KotOR - Scoundrel Jedi Consular with full light side
Mass Effect - Vanguard with a few paragon points (I haven't spent much time on this one though)
Infamous - If you include Infamous here, I'm a very good character.

Hmm I'm sensing a pattern here....

I mostly play Rouges and Fighters in D&D, and I'm making a homebrew class called the Engineer (gunpowder weapons, explosives, and steam technology and some magic).

I like my character to be fast. So, in Oblivion, I'm running circles around enemies while they can't even turn around fast enough to get a swipe at me. In Mass Effect 2: Vanguard. Dragon Age: Rogues and choose all buffs that speeds up my attack.

for dnd and such: i am the DM or a paladin who hates halflings (got maimed by a sneak attack rouge) and preaches at every street corner and who cooks quite well.
for oblivion: a warrior orc who has some serious sneaking skills lol.
For Mass Effect: an Infiltrator
for New Vegas: Hardcore, Speech Melee and sneak Focus with serous points in survival guns and medicine
for fallout 3: i had a 100 in everything or at least 90 before the end

also i play a good characters who have some strange evil tendencies

I'll play almost every character type in a CRPG or TTRPG. I tend to think more in archetypes; you've got the face, the magic warrior, the magician/sage, the big brute, etc, than I think in game terms. The only thing I don't like playing is a stupid character; it's very boring to think of a plan, then realize your character is not smart enough for it and go back to your first idea, which was, "Hit things very hard."

When there's more than one player involved, I always choose a character who will "play nicely with the other players." No one likes the diva who consumes all the GM's time or the guy who insists on being a jerkass just to annoy their friends. Sure, jerkass player will have fun for a bit, but pretty soon, people "forget" to tell him they're playing this weekend.

Old Mage hooray! (Also old Changeling.)

I Prefer Rogues and occasionally Mages.

Mass Effect - Female Vanguard, Paragon(ME1), Main Weapon - Shotgun
Female Infiltrator, Paragon(ME2), Main Weapon - Sniper Rifles and Heavy Pistols

Dragon Age - Rogue City Elf(Assassin/Duelist, Dual Weapon, Coercion and Stealth)
Mage Elf(Arcane Warrior, Arcane Magic and Occasional Healing Magic)
Warrior Human Noble(Templar, 1 Handed sword + Sheild(I think) and Occasional Archer)

Fallout 3 - Very Good Karma Female (Small Guns, Energy Weapons, Speech, Science,Lockpick and Repair)

I think this fits into what you are asking.

I used to play tanks but i've gravitated more towards mages and archers. My next role will probably be an archer in Tera Online.

I tend to go for the most tactical role, maybe Rogue in fantasy RPG's, Sniper or Recon in shooters, etc.

And if I get to choose my character's personality through some means, I tend to go for a paragon of righteousness, just because I always get guilt pangs if I kick an obnoxious rooster, no matter how much it was asking for it. I suck at being evil in even InFamous, and couldn't do it in Fable II.

I always play as some sort of soldier. My main weapon is usually an assault rifle and I'm also proficient with snipers and shotguns and everything in between but not melee. Never melee. I specialize in combat but I keep my character as versatile as possible without spreading my skills too thin.

Usually crossdressing, usually trying to do things so extremely dark and evil that I feel uncomfortable looking at the result. Of course this is almost impossible in mainstream games because of how castrated most of them are. And even though I play like this, I can never bring myself to kill dogs that aren't presenting an immediate danger.

Last flamboyantly evil thing that I did was in Undead nightmare. I hog tied a woman to my horse, then got into a situation where they both got eaten by zombies. Then I got another horse, hogtied the zombified woman to it, then let it loose in the safe town that I captured her from to kill or be killed by her friends and family. And then I burned to death that last mourning sasquatch thing with a molotov cocktail.

A Nord Assassin/Warrior, I call the class Lionheart.
As for Mass Effect, a straight up Soldier.

I'm not that experienced with this stuff, that's why I usually opt for barbarian or orc types...whatever allows me to swing a sword/axe good and hard.

I'm always the tank in everything, because I like action. That said I may pick up a good assassin once in a while. In oblivion I was a complete warrior, in Mass effect I was a Vanguard then a sentinel then a soldier. In DnD I'm a Barbarian but I mostly play Fighters.
So yeah Tanks Represent :)

Evil Gandi with amazing Big Guns skill is immortal!

Or on Oblivion I make myself look funny and call myself "Fagballs"
